Micro Credit Scheme

To encourage group activity among women and to earn income Micro credit scheme is being implemented through the women’s self-help group. Self-help groups should have at least 10 women members, to those will be assisted to engage in economic activities to earn good income and to become financially self-reliant.

Features

The loan amount to be repaid in 30 equal installments at the rate of 4% Interest.

The unit cost is Rs. 25,000/- out of which Rs. 15,000 /- is subsidy and Rs. 10,000/- is loan.

The women self-help group having minimum 10 members, Rs. 25,000/- will be sanctioned for each members and a total amount of Rs.2.50 lakh will be sanctioned by the corporation.

Eligibility for Micro Credit Scheme:

  • Applicants must belong to scheduled castes madiga and its related community.
  • Should be resident of Karnataka state.
  • Applicant shall be at the age of 21 and above and 50 and below.
  • The applicant and no member of his family should not be in employment in any Govt./Semi Govt organization.
  • If the caste certificate is submitted in the name of Adi Karnataka, Adi Andhra, Adi dravida then a self declaration certificate is to be submitted by the applicant stating his original caste.
  • Application will be rejected, if he/she found to be ineligible during the process of selection.

Conditions:

  • The women self help group must be selected by the Selection Committee.
  • The members of women self help group the annual income of the applicant’s family shall be within the limit of Rs.1.50 lakhs in case of rural areas and Rs. 2.00 lakhs in case of urban areas.
  • Application will be rejected, if he/she found to be ineligible during the process of selection.
